GloberAssociates.com is my first coaching website since being
certified as a career coach. It grew largely out of emailed
answers to questions from clients, and is intentionally highly
text based. In fact the design is modeled on the extraordinarily
design-simple useit.com website of Jakob Nielsen, one of the
gurus and founders of usability study principles for the
Worldwide Web. By utilizing proportioned and sometimes
equally sized columns and background colors, the emphasis
can be placed on the links to information, not on razzle-dazzle
imagery. For some one who is both a career coach and a web
designer and developer, this was at least a fascinating
experiment. Though future websites I develop for this business
are likely to move in different design directions, this will
likely continue on as my flagship information site on topics
such as coaching vis-a-vis therapy, proactive job search and
informational interviews, and how to let the experience of
job interviews be a positive first encounter for both
employer and employee in a potential working relationship.

The strengths of this site consist primarily in its usefulness
as a resource for clients with whom I've already begun
a dialog, who already have some sense of how my
approach to jobs and careers differs from just chasing
after want ads and job posts. Other sites I plan to create
for this business will separate out deep inquiry based
coaching from sophisticated marketing and will be
individually targeted for those separate functions.
